This DMS-59 male to VGA 15-pin female adapter allows a graphics card with a DMS-59 output to connect to a standard VGA display cable. It is commonly used with workstation and low-profile PC graphics cards that support analogue VGA output over a DMS-59 connector.
The adapter is passive and relies on the graphics card to provide an analogue VGA signal. It does not perform signal conversion and will only function with DMS-59 ports that support VGA output.
